Hi, I’m Jon, founder of Pindrop Wedding Films based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Hi, I’m Jon, a filmmaker, husband, dad of two, movie buff, functional guitarist, occasional podcaster and unashamed fan of prog rock. I’ve released three albums over the past year with my kids and even made an award winning short film! I’ve been making wedding films for 20 years now and can honestly say I have the BEST job in the world. Capturing the fun, emotion and atmosphere of your wedding day is a real privilege.

Based in Edinburgh, I can cover all of Scotland and love to discover new places. Rachael and I were married in 2006 and have two awesome kids. Our sons, Alexander and Cormac, love roaming windswept beaches in Scotland.

I have worked for broadcasters including Sky and the BBC on both current affairs and live events. As well as wedding videos, I also produce corporate video from time to time. I studied hands-on video production for two years at college before going into the professional broadcast sector.

I’ll cover your wedding day discreetly, but capture all the important parts. Many people have commented on how they hardly noticed me on the day and can’t believe all the moments I manage to capture whilst staying in the background. I wouldn’t like to describe myself as a ninja but that hasn’t stopped others doing so :)
