Rebecca and Lewis' Teaser Trailer - Beautiful Family Home Wedding

Oh wow. Really excited to share this teaser courtesy of Rebecca and Lewis. I added my signature Pindrop edit shortly after the rebrand. It's a stunning short film packed with the best bits of the day and Rebecca and Lewis were the first to book it in. Sadly it's taken another year to get round it due to that pesky pandemic. Hopefully I can share the full edit here soon.

What a stunning location for a wedding in the grounds of the family home. Complete with its own church! Went to town with the drone here and many thanks to photographer Anne MacPherson for the tip on the location you see at the start. Incredible.

Just a fabulous day all round and I can't thank Rebecca and Lewis enough for having me along. I have to let the film do the talking here otherwise this will take longer to read than watching the vid :)

Jane and Neal's Wedding Film Teaser - Waterside Hotel, Ayrshire - Seaside Wedding Scotland

Time for another teaser. Onto my second Pindrop Edit which was introduced just before the chaos hit Here is a little glimpse into Jane and Neal's big at the The Waterside hotel. I'm doing teaser trailers that are a big longer and more involved on the Pindrop Edit and it's been so cool to see them coming together especially with the new drone footage.

This day had everything (especially for these new edits). Lovely words during a fab ceremony overseen by Beverley Bryant Humanist Celebrant. A terrific set of speeches and just a fun vibe to the day made the whole lot perfect. Also lovely to be working alongside Paul Walker Images on photo duty. Been a while :)

Jane and Neal, thank you so much!

Lauren and Oliver's Wedding Film Teaser - Logie Country House

Absolutely thrilled to be able to share my first teaser trailer in.......well, ages. I don’t usually share the teaser films on the blog but I’ll make an exception as it’s been so long.

A massive thank you to Lauren and Oliver for booking me for their big day making it my first wedding in exactly 6 months. It was a real pleasure to be there. I definitely won't forget this one. Fantastic day at the wonderful Logie Country House. What an amazing place to be able to get my first drone shots at a wedding.

I could go on about this day for ages to be honest so I'll just let the video do the talking. Remember to hit the HD button in the settings. Warning - This video features a flower girl with a unicorn horn pulling a cart of puppies. Prepare for cuteness overload

I Now Have My Drone Qualification :)

I’ve had my drone for the last few years now but have never found the time to get my professional qualification. Once of the little bonuses of what has been happening over the last year is that I finally managed to find the time to get it done.

Really looking forward to getting the chance to use it at a wedding but in the meantime, here’s a little film from the location for a family holiday up north. Bridge Cottage is in a beautiful highland setting near Gruinard Bay on the north west coast. Well worth a visit.

You Encourage Me, You Support Me. You Let Me Be Me - Stirling Registrar – Tolbooth – Stirling

Well this is a special one for me as Hamish and I have been great friends since we were about 3 years old :) From primary to high school. Sharing a flat through our student days. Being in several bands together....You get the picture.

Quite the adventure was planned for this one. Hamish and Ashley were due to be married close to Ashley's family home in Nevada. My flights were booked and, along with a group of friends, I was looking forward to a five day adventure in the states in November 2020. Well, you know what happened.

This has been a tough year for everyone and I know only too well the misery that couples have gone through trying to negotiate a wedding during a pandemic. What it all comes down to I guess is being together and with that at the forefront, Hamish and Ashley decided to tie the knot back here in Scotland. I didn't hesitate to offer to film it. Obviously Ashley’s family wouldn't be able to make it from the states and just days before the wedding, England went into lockdown meaning that Hamish's brother (and another brilliant friend) Graeme wouldn't be able to travel from Cambridge. So I was determined that they would be able to share in the day even if it wasn't at the same time.

Before I start weeping onto my keyboard :) I'll share this insight into what was a day filled with love, laughter, friends and family. Little days can still be big days.

Before They Knew It, They Were Falling in Love. Small Scottish Beach Wedding, North Berwick

Well, it’s been a while to say the least but I’m over the moon to finally be able to share a new highlights film with you all. It was a real pleasure to be back filming a wedding so a massive thank you to Olga and Russell for booking me in to film their tremendous beach wedding.

We were treated to a stunning day in North Berwick. Was quite the relief after a pretty poor run of weather. We actually struck it pretty lucky as later that day we had some truly incredible thunder, lightening and torrential rain. Phew. What a scene for a wedding though. Sand, blue sea and the Bass Rock as a backdrop. Truly stunning.

A pretty spectacular arrival from Olga kicked us off for a beautiful ceremony led by the rather awesome Dorothy Nowak Humanist Celebrant. After a quick refreshment, we had the run of the beach for a genuinely beautiful couple shoot. Could have stayed there all day quite easily and a pleasure to be working alongside Lina Hayes Photography. I was a little nervous about the highlights film as we only had a few hours instead of the full day but I’m really pleased with how they turned out. Ended up with loads of great footage which I hope you’ll all enjoy. Great to be back!

I Can't Imagine Life Without You - Family Home Wedding, Nairn Highlands - Wedding Videography Scotland

Keeping up with my little trips down memory lane from last year I’m delighted to be able to share Anna and Sean’s highlights film. This was my second trip to Nairn in the space of two weeks and also my second family home wedding in two weeks. Quite the first.

I had filmed Anna’s brothers wedding in Nairn about 5 years ago and it’s always so lovely to be chosen to film another family members big day. Gives me a warm glow :)

Anna and Sean were great all day, spirits were high during the morning preps and I could just tell straight away this was going to be a top day. After a little while spent with Anna and the girls at the family home it was a short trip to the rather lovely setting of Cawdor Church to met Sean and the boys. The church has a very historic and intimate feel and was a perfect setting for a perfect ceremony.

After the ceremony we scooted off to the beach for the couple shoot. A really beautiful setting as you’ll see from the film. Then it was back off to the family home where friends and family had already gathered, basking in the brilliant sunshine and enjoying a little fizz. What. A. Day. Thank you so much Anna and Sean for having me along to such a fab day.

What You Do for Me is Unbelievable - Wedding Maryculter House Hotel Aberdeen - Wedding Videography Scotland

Well, with no weddings on the immediate horizon in these strange times we find ourselves in it’s time to delve back into 2019 again for our full highlights films catch up and Sam and Aaron. I find myself up Aberdeen way quite often and do really enjoying filming at Maryculter House. It’s even better when you’ve been booked on a recommendation and get to catch up with couples from previous years, as was the case here.

Maryculter house is a little outside Aberdeen in a lovely woodland setting with the river running past it’s banks. A really lovely setting that I never tire of visiting. A really friendly bunch of staff just adds to a great experience shooting a wedding.

You can always tell how much fun a day is going to be during the morning preps and even more so here as Sam was not just celebrating a wedding but also her birthday. Double fizz for everyone :). Took a little time to catch up with the boys and the high spirits were mirrored in the boys as well. Everyone chilled and having a laugh. Perfect.

A terrific ceremony taken by Rachel Donald from Human Association Scotland was the centrepiece of the day and the room had been decked out in terrific fashion. Then it was time to kick off the celebrations and the couple shoot. I really enjoyed this one as not only were Sam and Aaron great fun but working alongside the photographer Debbie Walker was a friend of mine Scott. I actually filmed Scott’s wedding a few years back now so it was a lovely little surprise.

Needless to say the evening reception continued in quality fashion starting with a fab set of speeches. And a little surprise was the first speaker. Take a look :)
